Samael Aun Weor: The First Thirty Years

His father was of great stature, of African descent, with very wide hands and a robust complexion. His mother was of Arab descent, and dressed in an old fashion, always with a hat over her head reminiscent of the nineteen century - very lady-like.

Yet, regarding the date of his birth there is a mystery. Later in his life, while walking through the stone-paved streets of a town in South America, he met a lady who was initiated in the Egyptian mysteries. After their introduction, she questioned him: "What was the date of your birth?"

Samael Aun Weor answered, "They told me that I was born the sixth of March, 1917."

Then the lady told him, "You are mistaken, because in 1919 you visited me in Los Angeles, California, in order to collect on a debt that I had with you..."

Thereafter, when she bid him farewell, she added, "This is only one part of the mystery that surrounds you."
